This book is called a Dog’s Life. It is about a dog name Squirrel who grows up as a stray dog. She learns to live without human contact. Her mother teaches her well how to survive. Though, she finds it hard to live on her own after she becomes separated from her mother and brother. She is happy during her young months as a puppy, and does make friends with other animals and a boy name Matthias. Squirrel travels to many places and never settles down. She has many adventures, some good and some not so good. She slowly learns to adjust to this lifestyle even though she has never had any other. Read this story and find out why she has a tough time trusting humans.

In my opinion, this is a well written book. I enjoyed it. The author really makes you feel like you are the dog in the story. I would recommend this book to all animal lovers, or anyone who ever wanted to see through the eyes of a dog. After you read this, you will probably have more sympathy toward stray animals.
