Stink and The
Incredible Super-Galactic Jawbreaker
By: Megan McDonald
Stink is the main character. Judy is his sister, Webster is his best friend, Mrs. D., his teacher, and Pickles, her dog. Stink goes to the store to buy some candy. He gets a jawbreaker that he sucks on for a long time. He gets mad when he’s done sucking on it because it doesn’t break his jaw. Stink writes letters to the company that makes jawbreakers and he gets free stuff in the mail from them. Then he writes more letters and gets more free stuff. His sister tells on him and his mother decides that Stink can’t send anymore letters.
My opinion of the book is tricky. He writes letters to companies and gets free things for a while until his sister tells on him. Then at the end, Stink becomes thoughtful because he take most of his free things and put them in a piñata to make up to Webster for hitting him. He had lots of fun hitting the piñata.
I think you should read this book if you like candy. It’s a candy type book. I thought this book was awesome. I dislike reading books but this book was pretty good. I think you will like it too.
