The Last Holiday Concert

The main idea for this selection is how Hart Evens, music teacher, has just got cut because the school didn’t have enough money to pay him. There is a vote about who should runt the chorus when the music teacher leaves. I think that everyone should read this book because it is very suspenseful. It also has a lot of drama and mixed emotions.

Hart Evans is an eleven year old boy who hated chorus. Hart is caught throwing rubber bands across the room. That results in two days of detention. Hart is elected to be chorus director. Hart accepts the responsibility. The concert turns out to be a mess but the teacher pulls it together again.

I think you definitely should read this book. This book is full of suspense and surprises. Hart is a very exciting character. If you want to find out what happens, read The Last Holiday Concert.
