This story takes place on a farm in Nebraska in the early 1900’s. Nathaniel is struck by lightning and breaks his leg. It will take a long time for him to recover and he feels bad because he can’t help his dad on the farm. His dad adopts and orphan boy named John John who also has his own problems with nightmares of his family’s death.

Worth is a very good book. I’m not sure what my favorite part was because it was all good. I would recommend this book to a friend. Someone who would like this book is someone who likes to read about the country. The book was very good!
