The team traveled to the State ProStart Invitational Culinary Competition to compete in knife skills, poultry fabrication, menu planning, cooking, and sanitation. Teams from vocational schools all over Massachusetts were in attendance, so the most talented young chefs in the state were represented there. After three hours of rigorous competition, our THS team was awarded 2nd place for their menu of Wasabi Calamari Salad, Peppered Pork Tenderloin, and Tiramisu Mousse. Congratulations to Joe Jodice, Drew Ross, Baylee Mello and Cassidy Smith! Each student chef has been awarded a total of $22,500 from various post-secondary culinary schools.
