Three recent THS graduates received one of the 30 scholarships to culinary and hospitality students across the state from the Massachusetts Restaurant Association. Cassidy Smith, who is currently attending Johnson and Wales, also received the Debby Oliver Scholarship.
Deandre Foggie received the Ninety Nine Restaurant Scholarship ($2,000) which was matched by the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) for a total of $4,000. Baylee Mello received the New England Restaurant Networking Scholarship ($2,000) also matched by the CIA for a total of $4,000. Baylee also was asked to speak as part of the Scholarship Award Recipient Spotlight Panel about her future career aspirations and her current cake business, Baylee's Creations.
