The safety patrol is a group of model fourth graders who monitor our hallways to be sure students are walking safely and maintaining "quiet zone behavior." Students maintain various posts, such as hallways, lobbies and stairs to ensure the safety of all students. They assist with walking students to buses and also monitor and maintain quiet lines in hallways as we load buses. Some of these students have also become peer leaders during kindergarten recess. They teach and run structured games and sports activities. They have taken leadership to a whole new level.
For the second year at Elizabeth Pole School, our school psychologist has sponsored Ph.D. candidates in internships. The intern psychologists provide excellent support services to students with individual counseling, groups, and evaluations. The interns work closely with the school administration, guidance department, and teaching staff to identify needs and provide students with a supportive learning environment.
