Early Childhood Parenting Group

(Systematic Training for Effective Parenting)

Title I is sponsoring a free seven-week program for parents of children up to five years of age. Discussion among group members will focus on parenting issues encountered during the early childhood years. Topics covered include temperament, stages of development, the role of play, behavior, self-esteem, communication, cooperation, discipline, social/emotional development as well as individual parenting concerns. Free textbook: Parenting Young Children, by Dinkmeyer & McKay.

Location: Barnum School

Dates: October 3, 2006- November 14, 2006

Time: Tuesday evenings 6:30-8:30 p.m.
