  •  1. Construct a model of your tradition
  •  2. Research your tradition 
    • Write a 1 paged typed paper. (double spaced), or a 2-3   page handwritten paper. (Books and information will be available in class, in the library, or on the computer. You will be given some time in class to work on this.) 
    • Most of it is to be done independently. If you wish to stay with me afterschool, the class computers will be available everyday for those who wish to stay and  work on their project. 
    • There are also will be some very helpful sites bookmarked on Cohannet’s Home Page. Please list the sources you used.
    • Tell about your tradition, its’ origin, and information about it.
  •  3. Present orally to the class. 
    • On index cards, take notes on the important information about your tradition for you to use during your presentation. 
    •   You may not read from your research paper.
    •   After the speech, you should be able to answer questions asked by your teacher or classmates about your project.

Project : The project will be graded as follows : 
 

The substance of your project;  Was it neat?  Did you take your time to do a good job? Did you show creativity? Was the information accurate?


Research Paper : The research paper will be graded as follows : 

   Did you research your tradition?  Did you put the information in your own words? Did you use complete sentences? Did you use proper punctuation and capitalization?


Oral Presentation: The oral presentation will be graded as follows : 

   Did you present your information clearly? Did you know what you were talking about? Did you have note cards to help you? Were you able to answer questions? 


Due Date:  Was your project done by the due date 

Overall Grade : Did you have your project, research paper, and oral presentation ? Was itt handed in on time ?
