Martin Middle School has many exciting events planned for the grade 7 students during the last week of school.

Seventh grade students are invited to tryout for the THS Cheerleading Team. The tryouts are on June7 and June 8, 2017 from 5-7pm. Please read the flyer for more information.
Middle school athletes are invited to participate in an after school intramural track program at THS. The program runs from Tuesday, May 23-Monday, June 12, 2017. Students need to return the waiver before May 23, 2017 to participate.

The PTO is having a scholastic book fair on May 30-June 2, 2017. Students will get a free book with every book they purchase. Classes will be going to the book fair during the school day.
The Martin PBIS team is hosting open gym days for each grade level. Admission is 1 Woodchuck Buck or $2.00 per student. A permission form needs to be completed and returned with payment. All grade levels will run from 2:45-3:45 pm.
Grade 5: Monday, May 8
Grade 6: Thursday, May 11
Grade 7: Friday May 12
An after school sports session will begin on March 31, 2017. Students need to complete the reservation form and return it by March 30, 2017. The program can only accept the first 40 students per grade.
Each session will be in the Martin Middle School gym. Pickup is promptly at 5 pm in the back of the school building, by the gym door.

Who was Joseph H. Martin?
Joseph H. Martin (1889-1969) was a great American success story. He joined the Taunton-based silver company Reed & Barton at age 13 as an office boy and retired 54 years later as a Vice President. Active in the community, Martin served on the Taunton School Committee and was a trustee of the Taunton Public Library for 38 years. (Source: "A History of Taunton Massachusetts," William F.
