A Note from the Nurse
Winter is here and with it comes the dreaded cold and flu season. Good hand washing is extremely important . Not only does it remove the germs off your hands, it helps to keep you healthy and prevents spread of germs to others.
See attached article by the Massachusetts Department of Health to know how to tell the difference between a
cold vs. the flu.
Healthy snacks are important to keep children learning. Healthy snacks help to satisfy a child's hunger between meals and boost his/ her energy level. A few examples of nutritious snacks are fresh fruit, chopped raw veggies with dip, pita
chips with hummus or even homemade baked items where you can control what type of ingredients are used. See link below for an easy but super healthy smoothie recipe that makes a great snack and fills you up!
