History

TASK (Taunton Assistive Skills Kit)

Taunton Public Schools received a Department of Education grant (2001-2002) in Assistive Technology where a team of teachers was trained at UMass Boston in assistive technologies. Over time, this team has dispersed.

ALICE (Assistive Learning in an Integrated Collaborative Environment)

In the Fall of 2007, the Department of Education awarded to a new grant to the Barnstable Public Schools, in partnerhship with Plymouth Public Schools, and Taunton Public Schools to bring Universal Design, Assistive Technologies and One-to-One access to special needs students in the area of mathematics. For the first year of this 2 year grant, the focus will be centered on the Mulcahey Middle School.
