  The Technology Department has oversight and responsibility for the following areas:

• Technology Professional Development
• Network
• Equipment (computers, monitors, projectors, televisions, printers, photocopiers, and duplicators)
• Communications (Interent, telephones, & faxes)
• Information Management

Network and Hardware/Software: The technology staff maintains over 3000 computers.

Information Management: This area includes the Student Information Management Systems and a new Staff Management Systems. Most reports to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Educaton (DESE)  come through this area.

Middle School Instructional Technology Specialists: The IT Specialists are highly qualified & certified middle school teachers. They have been trained in the District's initiatives, including Standards-Based Education and the Big Six. They work mainly in a lab situation, but are also available for IT consulting/training within the District.
