Peer Mediation
Peer Mediation is a voluntary, confidential, and effective way of resolving conflict between students, students and teachers, or students and administrators. Students are trained to act as neutral people helping others resolve conflict. Mediators do not take sides, judge, or tell people what to do. Mediators listen to everyone equally and help each person come up with their own ideas about how they would like to see the situation resolved. Mediation works 99% of the time because people make their own decisions. Peer mediation respects that kids know how to solve their own problems, and they know what is best for them. Referrals to the Peer Mediation program can be made by anyone.
