WHEAT BARS RECIPE


Chocolate Covered Wheat Bars

1 lb. Soft Butter

1 cup Brown Sugar

1 cup Granulated Sugar

2 Eggs

2 1/2 cups Flour

2 1/2 cups Rolled Oats

Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs. Add flour and rolled oats. Blend together. Spread batter on a greased cookie sheet 1/2 inch thick. Bake at 350o for about 25 minutes.

 Topping

Melt 12 oz. chocolate bits with 1/4 lb. of butter in a double boiler. Spread on bars after cooking 10 minutes.
