    Standards for tech prep students

 

Why you should choose tech prep:

  • Students will earn free college credit while they are earning their high school diploma.
  • Experience applied learning.
  • There is no cost while student is in high school.

 

 

Advantages for tech prep students:

  • A solid foundation in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Critical thinking, Problem solving, and Computer literacy.

Standards for tech prep students:

  • Each tech prep student must earn an average grade of "C" or better in academic discipline that comprises his/her high school tech prep cluster or higher level courses in order to be certified as a tech prep student.

  • Certified high school Tech Prep students are guaranteed acceptance into the Tech Prep related programs at colleges where programs have been articulated.
  • Certified high school Tech Prep students are eligible to receive course waivers or course credit at colleges for work completed in articulated high school courses if those student meet the standards of that Tech Prep Articulation agreement.
  • Certified high school Tech Prep students are eligible to register at no cost for college courses that complete requirements in their Tech Prep program of studies.
