 ATTENTION: SEMESTER ONE is ending on Tuesday January 24.  Students will be taking semester finals on Jan 23 and Jan 24.  These are half days with dissmissal at 11:50 AM.  Semester Two begins on Wednedsday January 25.

01.05.12 Upcoming dates and information for the THS Community:

  • Tuesday, January 10th, 6:30 in the Library - Parent Teacher Partnership Meeting, Guidance and student scheduling will be the topic of the evening

  • Monday, January 16th - No school, Martin Luther King day

  • Monday, January 23rd - 1st semester Final Exams for C & D-Block

  • Tuesday, January 24th - Final Exams for A & B-Block, both days are half days dismissal at 11:50.

  • Wednesday, January 25th - 2nd Semester Begins

  • Friday, January 27th - No school, TPS Professional day

Project Contemporary Competitiveness Advanced Studies Program (PCCASP) is a summer program held at Stonehill College for 8th and 9th graders.  This program is designed to allow students to have the opportunity to take college level courses and live on a college campus.  Applications are available now for the Summer of 2012.  Interested 8th and 9th graders should see Ms. Barbour in the Guidance Office for applications.  If you are looking for the best summer of your life, look no furthur as PCC is the place to be.  All completed applications are due January 13th, 2012 to Ms. Barbour.

Tuesday, Nov. 15 – Mock Rival Day –THS Dodge ball Tourney, 2:30 p.m. Parker Gym, Free.  Mandatory Powder puff Player Meeting, 2 p.m., Café

Wednesday, Nov. 16 – Class Colors Day – 8(yellow), 9(pink), 10(green), 11(blue), 12(black/orange).  Powder puff Tournament, 6 p.m. Turf, $5 player, free admission.  Game 1-8v.9 Game 2-10v.12 Game 3: G1 winner v. 11 Game 4: Championship!

Thursday, Nov. 17 – Hawaiian Day  8th and 9th Grader Semi-formal, Café, 6-9 p.m. $5

Friday, Nov. 18 – Boston Sports Day.  Homecoming Dance, 6-10 p.m. $20

Monday, Nov. 21 – Marvelous Monday (Dress Up).  Bonfire - JV Football Field (Behind A House) 6-8 p.m. Free

Tuesday, Nov. 22 – Black and Orange Day. Senior Athlete/Special Olympics Rolling Rally, D Block

The cookie dough fundraiser has been extended to Monday, November 7th.    Get those final orders in to kick off your 8th grade year at THS! Submit order forms and payment to either Mrs. O’Brien in Room D314 or Ms. Dermody in Room D312.

Thursday, November 17th - Early Release 1/2 Day, Parent/Teacher Conferences 12:30 to 2:00pm

Wednesday, November 23rd to Friday, November 25th - Thanksgiving Break

10.05.11 Attention 8th Graders: You and your parents are invited to attend a workshop on Thursday, October 6th, at 6 p.m. in the auditorium on Transitioning to High School with our Guidance Counselors on hand to answer questions. We hope to see all of you there!

 10.05.11 Student, Faculty and Staff pictures will be taken on Wednesday, October 12th, from 7:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Registration for the October 15th PSAT's has begun at Taunton High School.  All 8th - 11th graders are encouraged to register to take the exam.  The fee is $20.00 and cash, check or money orders (made out to Taunton High School) are accepted.  Guidance counselors are available during all four lunches to accept payments.  The FINAL DATE for registration is Oct 12th.
