The THS Student Council was established to meet the following goals: to create a higher quality of school spirit, to encourage wider participation of students in school activities, and to aid in the solution of school problems through closer cooperation between the student body and the faculty to improve the general welfare of the school. Membership in the Council consists of:
· The presidents of all classes.
· Three members of the Freshmen Class elected by ballot after the first marking term.
· Five members of the Sophomore Class elected by ballot.
· Nine members of the Junior Class elected by ballot.
· Fourteen members of the Senior Class elected by ballot.
Potential candidates for T.H.S. Student Council must take out nomination papers and return to a student council advisor within one week. Candidates/members must maintain an exemplary record of conduct and attendance. Non-compliance will result in automatic suspension from the T.H.S. Student Council for the remainder of the school year. The member may be reinstated when he/she has attained these standards.
