About our department

The TPS Food Service Department provides nourishing and appetizing meals to all the students of Taunton Public Schools regardless of eligibility completely free each day! This allows our department to take the worry out of having to provide your household with breakfast and lunch foods for each school day! We focus on providing our students with a wide variety of meals while keeping the highest nutrition standards you expect for healthy learning minds! Holding ourselves to these ideals while serving over 9,000 meals a day throughout the City of Taunton. We hope you will join us during lunch and breakfast! Healthy Foods = Healthy Minds, see you in the cafe!

In addition, we also encourage families to apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Women Infants Children Nutrition Program (WIC). SNAP provides monthly cash benefits (on an EBT card) to purchase groceries for eligible families. WIC is a nutrition program that provides healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to healthcare and other services, free of charge, to Massachusetts families who qualify. To apply to these programs, visit the Links on this website or call the Hotlines provided
