All Students Eat Free!
About Our Department

The Taunton Public Schools Food Services Department is proud to provide free, nutritious, and delicious meals to every student, every school day, no eligibility requirements needed. Our goal is to take the worry out of planning breakfast and lunch on school days, so families can focus on what matters most.

Each day, we serve more than 9,000 meals across the City of Taunton, offering students a wide variety of fresh and balanced options that support healthy minds and active learning. We’re committed to meeting the highest nutrition standards and creating meals students truly enjoy.
We invite all students to join us for breakfast and lunch. Because Healthy Foods = Healthy Minds! See you in the cafe!

In addition, we encourage families to explore the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition Program.

  • SNAP provides monthly benefits (on an EBT card) to help families buy groceries.
  • WIC offers healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to healthcare and other services—all free to qualifying Massachusetts families.
