Phone Message from Superintendent Cabral 3/15/2020: Good evening Taunton Public Schools community. This is Superintendent John J. Cabral. The purpose of this message is to inform you that Governor Baker announced this evening that all schools throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts are mandated to close and cease in-person educational operation effective Monday, March 16, 2020, with a return date of Tuesday, April 7, 2020. The Taunton Public Schools remains committed to keeping our students, families and staff informed regarding this extremely fluid situation, so although school will be closed, please be assured that we will continue to pass along updates regarding our student remote education enrichment opportunity plan and locations for families to access meals, in a timely manner. There will be more messages like this from me that you can expect to receive during the next three weeks. Please also know that we appreciate your support and flexibility during this difficult time. I encourage all of us to remain calm, be kind to one another, and continue to operate as a team & community. Most importantly, as advised by our Governor, adhere to the guidance recommended by our medical officials and follow the recommended social distancing procedures. I thank you for your time and please remain healthy & safe.
