Brenda Moynihan was appointed Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations at Taunton Public Schools in 2018.

She brings extensive expertise in finance, management, and technology. Throughout her career with Taunton Public Schools, Brenda has demonstrated a commitment to excellence and efficiency and a strong work ethic. She began her journey as a business teacher at Taunton High School, where she also served as Business Curriculum Supervisor and Assistant Headmaster before becoming the Director of Technology.

With a strong commitment to fiscal responsibility, Brenda has successfully balanced the school budget even in challenging financial times. Recognizing the importance of a safe and engaging learning environment, Brenda has spearheaded numerous facilities projects, including the updating of playgrounds and various infrastructure improvements across the district. Through strategic planning and collaboration, Brenda continues to ensure that the district's resources are used efficiently and effectively, promoting both academic excellence and community well-being.

During her seven-year tenure as Technology Director, Brenda significantly enhanced the district's technological infrastructure. She streamlined technology systems, improved tech support response times, increased the availability of technology resources in classrooms, and effectively integrated these advancements into instructional practices, enriching students' educational experiences.

Before overseeing technology systems, Brenda introduced innovative teaching strategies in the business department, providing students with hands-on, practical learning experiences. She emphasized the interconnectedness of various fields of study by fostering collaborative relationships between different departments.

Brenda holds a Master of Education with Principal Licensure from Endicott College, a Master of Education in Instructional Technology from Lesley University, and a Bachelor of Marketing from the University of Massachusetts. Her commitment to continuous professional development highlights her dedication to effectively serving learners and staff.

As a licensed School Business Manager, Brenda manages the district’s finances and facilities, ensuring efficient instructional spaces and safe environments for students, staff, and the community.
